2019 California Community Foundation Fellowship for Visual Artists

January 23, 2019

The CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists provides financial and other support to help Los Angeles-based artists build thriving, sustainable careers and to strengthen L.A.’s vibrant arts scene. This year’s fellows were selected from more than 300 applicants working in a wide range of disciplines.

“Artists provide us with a portrait of our past, a reflection of our present and a vision of the future we can create together,” said CCF President & CEO Antonia Hernández. “Their passion, courage and commitment are at the core of what defines us as Angelenos.”

This year’s CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists recipients are:

“We are grateful for our long partnership with the California Community Foundation and honored to help our city’s diverse and talented artists share their voices with the world,” says Joan Weinstein, acting director of the Getty Foundation. “This year’s fellows join a distinguished group of alumni who inspire us with their creativity and ongoing contributions to the cultural vitality of Los Angeles.”
Recipients of the CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists are selected by a committee of distinguished artists and arts professionals following a rigorous application process. The grants are often used to develop new work and fund exhibits, travel or general expenses.
A digital gallery of the 2019 Fellows’ artwork can be found at calfund.org/fva. To find out how you can support CCF’s Fellowship for Visual Artists, please visit us online. One-hundred percent of contributions to the FVA go directly to artists.
