Artist Talk as I discuss my kinetic drum set sculpture ItzL.A. Cool as part of the exhibition Monumentos Alternativos hosted myMexico City’s OJO Versalles gallery in collaboration with Durden and Ray gallery, Los Angeles, co-curated by Carolyn Mason.
I will talk about IztaL.A. Cool and it’s partner drum set sculpture Popocatpl in relationship to Mexico City’s famous volcanoes and how they also represent a pivotal awareness of my Mexican cultural and artistic heritage although being raised at the US Mexico Gateway.
